I engaged Eric Interior for my resale HDB renovation. This was my second time working with an interior designer, my first was for my BTO. From what I’ve heard, most IDs usually provide just one 3D drawing to give a basic idea of the design. But to my surprise, when I couldn’t decide which floor tile design to go with, Eric didn’t rush me or push for a decision.
Instead, he went the extra mile and created five different 3D drawings based on the tile designs I had shortlisted. I was struggling to visualise how the tiles would look in my space just from the samples provided. Eric’s effort helped me see exactly how each option would impact the overall look and feel of my home. I was honestly shocked in a good way by his patience and dedication.
We took up a 4-room BTO renovation package with Eric Interior, and honestly, I think Eric deserves a medal. My wife is extremely detailed, the kind of client most salespeople secretly fear. Although we only added a few items to the package and paid around $12,000, I genuinely don’t think Eric made much profit considering the “extra services” he ended up providing.
Over the 3-month renovation, my wife called him more than four times a week (sometimes just to re-discuss the same thing), and he came down at least five times just to double-check things like cabinet alignment. Most IDs would’ve run for the hills, but not Eric. He stayed calm, patient, and always kept a professional attitude. He never once showed frustration, even when we pushed the limits. If you want an ID who won’t ghost you halfway and can survive the most kiasu homeowners, Eric is your guy!
While renovating our condo, we visited several lighting shops to select fixtures for the entire home. We shortlisted a few luxurious lighting options, and the total cost came up to around $15,000. We were ready to proceed, thinking that such statement pieces would enhance the overall design. To our surprise, Eric advised us not to go ahead with the purchase.
Even though, i believe that recommending the expensive lights could have earned him a high rebate, he took the time to explain why it wasn’t worth spending that much. He suggested alternatives that would achieve a similar aesthetic at a far more reasonable price. His advice saved us a significant amount without compromising on the overall look and feel of our home.
Eric Interior was actually the second ID we engaged, the first one disappeared after taking our deposit (yes, closed down). Panic mode, with no ID, no plan, and half our budget gone, we turned to friends for recommendations. One buddy confidently said, “Eric managed to survive my super kiasu wife. You’ll be safe.” That gave us a weird sense of comfort, though I really hope his wife never sees this review!
Our resale flat was in pretty bad shape, think dated tiles, stubborn stains, and a layout stuck in the past. We need to move in within 3 months, can the renovation be completed on time?
Yes, in most cases, a 3-month timeline is achievable. Let us know your move-in date upfront, and we’ll assess if the scope of work fits within the timeframe. We’ll prioritise key areas like the kitchen and toilet, and schedule the works efficiently to meet your deadline. Do note that any customisation or changes mid-way may affect the schedule, so early planning helps keep things smooth.
Are your packages customizable?
Yes, while our packages come with a fixed scope, we’re flexible when it comes to customisation. You can upgrade materials, add features like a shoe cabinet or extra storage. We’ll work with your budget and style to make it uniquely yours. Any add-ons will be billed separately, so you’ll always know what you’re paying for. No hidden costs, just clear, honest pricing from start to finish.
What happens during the initial consultation?
During the initial consultation, we’ll get to know your lifestyle, daily routines, design preferences, and budget. This helps us understand how to plan your space practically and efficiently. Even if you don’t have a clear idea yet, we’ll guide you through it step-by-step. We’ll also review your floor plan and discuss what’s possible based on your layout, so you get a renovation that truly fits your needs — both visually and functionally.
Do I need to bring anything for the first meeting?
For the first meeting, it’s helpful if you bring along your floor plan, inspiration images from Pinterest or Instagram, or any sketches and ideas you’ve been thinking about. These help us better understand your preferences and lifestyle needs. But if you don’t have anything prepared, no stress — we’ll guide you through everything from scratch. Our goal is to make the process smooth, even if you’re starting with zero design experience.
How will I be updated during the renovation?
We’ll keep you updated regularly throughout the renovation with progress photos, videos, or WhatsApp messages — whichever communication method works best for you. We believes in clear, honest updates so you’re never left wondering what’s going on. Whether it’s a quick status check, milestone completion, or something unexpected, we’ll make sure you’re informed at every stage. You’ll always know what’s happening in your home, even when you’re not physically there.
What does the Kitchen Package cover?

Can I choose the Kitchen and Toilet Package together instead of the Resale Package?
Yes, definitely! If you’re renovating a resale flat you’ve lived in for more than 5 years and only want to focus on the kitchen and toilets, you can go for the Kitchen Package and Toilet Package instead of the full Resale Package. Our packages are flexible — just let us know your needs. You won’t be paying for works you don’t require.
